Dilip Sir,

Residing in Jamshedpur for 6 years. Followed your advice 6 years back - purchased TVS Sport - great mileage bike (have achieved 68-75 kmpl consistently). Done 38000 kms till date. However, feel it gets strained after 40 kmph, may be bcoz of 7.5 bhp
Looking forward to moving to higher capacity bike in 110-125 cc range. Went thru topics already discussed.

Minimum requirements: Low maintenance, decent performance, good mileage.

For 110cc - any suggestions apart from TVS Star City Plus / Hero Passion X pro (110 cc) - guess the product is not available across their shelf (Checked their website).

For 125cc - Your preference is TVS Phoenix. What about Honda CB Shine? I dont see Phoenix very popular in Jsr at least.

Regards
Krishnan

Hi Krishnan,
Good to see you want to move to bigger bike. My top choice in 110 cc today is Hero Passion Xpro. In 125 cc it is TVS Phoenix. Honda Shine is also very good. Both Phoenix and Shine have excellent Low End Torque which is essential for smooth city traffic.
Regarding Phoenix not being too popular in Jsr, never mind. Facts are facts. See my test report on this site. Popularity is pure media hype=Hoo-Ha!
TVS Star City+ not yet tested. So if you are going for bike immediately, then in 110 cc go for Hero Passio Xpro and in 125 cc go for TVS Phoenix.
best wishes

Just I would like to know... out of curiosity.
X Pro and Phoenix costs pretty much the same. Why one should opt for Xpro over Phoenix? (Phoenix seems better than Xpro)

Hi Krishnan,
Price-wise not much difference between Phoenix and Xpro. Phoenix is 125. Xpro is 110. There is a difference - what is your preference?
Lemme kno.

Excuse me, this is tk. Not Krishnan. Sorry if I asked in Krishnan's thread.
As far as preference is concern, it's pretty much the same as 90% of Indian's preference.
What's the plus and minus of Phoenix against Xpro? Why one should choose one over other?

Hi tk,
Since price difference is negligible / inconsequential / ignorable, I would go for TVS Phoenix.
Mileage is almost same. Yet Phoenix has higher top speed and most important: better LOW END TORQUE==L.E.T. !
For me, L.E.T. is most important since most of my use is in traffic areas.
